Lore & Background
Guilmon appears as a selectable protagonist alongside Agumon, Veemon, and Dorumon. The game is loosely based on the 2005 film Digital Monster X-Evolution and even utilizes footage from that movie. Players guide Guilmon through areas such as Death Valley, Dry Land, Venom Jungle, and Machine Pit to combat the spreading 'X-virus' and defeat bosses including Apocalymon, MaloMyotismon, Lucemon, and Mecha Rogue X.
In Their Own Story
As a member of the D.S.G. (Digital Security Guard), Guilmon is sent on missions starting in Death Valley to search for Chief Leomon. The journey involves traversing Dry Land to stop the X-Virus spread, traveling through Venom Jungle to prevent the Dread Note launch, and finally entering Machine Pit to destroy the final boss.
