Koushiro Izumi, often known as Izzy, is a computer expert and honor student who enjoys researching the Internet. He is partnered with Tentomon and holds the Crest of Knowledge. Initially, he subconsciously distanced himself from his foster parents after learning he was adopted, but later accepted them as family when they revealed the truth during Myotismon's invasion. In Digimon Adventure 02, he used his computer expertise to monitor the Digital World for the new generation. By Digimon Adventure tri., he worked at an IT company creating a program for partners to travel between monitors and the outside world. In the series' epilogue, Izzy researches gateways to the Real and Digital Worlds with Sora's father and Joe's brother, Shu, and has a daughter partnered with a Motimon.

Lore & Background
Koushiro Izumi is an honor student known for carrying a computerized notebook as a codex for encountered Digimon. He politely defers to the rest of the DigiDestined. When he initially discovered he was adopted, he subconsciously distanced himself from his foster parents, focusing on his grades and computers instead. During Myotismon's invasion of Japan, both his foster parents revealed the truth: the man he called 'father' was cousins with his birth father. Following this revelation, all three came to accept each other as family.

Koushiro Izumi utilized his computer expertise in Digimon Adventure 02 to monitor the Digital World and alert the new generation of DigiDestined about problems. In Digimon Adventure tri., he worked at a new IT company with an operations base office, creating a program that allowed partners to travel back and forth between every monitor and the outside world.
