According to the source, Omnimon appears in Digimon Adventure 02: Revenge of Diaboromon. This film takes place three months during Digimon Adventure 02. In the story, Kuramon merges with Diaboromon to create Armageddemon, a Super Ultimate level Digimon. While Omnimon and Imperialdramon fail to stop Armageddemon initially, Omnimon sacrifices his energy to power up Imperialdramon Fighter Mode into Paladin Mode.

In Their Own Story

During the events of Digimon Adventure 02: Revenge of Diaboromon, a swarm of Kuramon invades the Real World and merges with Diaboromon to form Armageddemon. Tai, Matt, T.K., and Kari head to the Internet where they face this threat. Omnimon joins Imperialdramon in battle but is unable to stop Armageddemon on its own. To turn the tide, Omnimon gives his energy to Imperialdramon Fighter Mode, enabling it to reach Paladin Mode. Using the Omni Sword attack, Imperialdramon defeats Armageddemon.
